八重樫 一紗 | Kazusa Yaegashi

I was born in Hanamaki, Iwate. From elementary school through university, basketball was my life. I earned a PE teaching license and planned to become a teacher back home, but at the last minute I got curious about advertising and joined an agency instead.

In September 2024, still wondering how I could help energize my hometown, I took part in a bamboo tent–making workshop for the Shimanami Film Festival in Setoda — arriving from Sendai, which may have seemed a bit too fired up. The five days I spent with the Setoda team and locals stayed with me, and I decided this was the place to learn and grow. I joined the company soon after.
